I think this is something we tend to learn as we mature in our profession and in ourselves. For a period of time after embarking within your professional journey, we can be inflicted with a "keeping up with the Jones's" mindset, staving for the next promotion, position, or company. Certainly not to say that is always wrong, but unfortunately when a person is in the position for the wrong motivation it has a cascading negative affect on those around them. This includes their peers, colleagues, friends, family, and ultimately their own being.
Fulfillment is state of being satisfied or happy because you are living according to your values and are fully developing your abilities and character. Leadership will mean nothing to you or those around you if the position does not align with your core values. When your motive is selfish, you will produce a team of selfish followers.
