Individualized Leadership

My research discovered the primary theme which contributes to influencing job satisfaction and mitigating turnover intentions is feeling as if they are managed as an individual; demonstrated through flexibility, personal promotion, engagement, feeling cared for, and having an identifiable relationship with the manager. Employees want their manager to know them as a person outside of the work environment, their family members, their interests, what is happening to them personally, and how their work-life can best balance with their home life. When a leader understands the individual interests of their team members, they can best align the needs of the organization to them. As the needs of the team members are met, job satisfaction surges and organizational sustainability increases.
