While 'Marching to the beat of your own drum' is an admirable quality in so many circumstances, as it relates to your part on a team, doing so can cause dissent and destruction. With the framework of a team, similar to an orchestra or a band, each person must play their instrument at a certain time and at a specific measure for the right melody to form. The melody will have moments in which some work tirelessly while others are at rest, some will play harmony while others support the base; in some situations, it may not require your instrument to play at all. As each independent sound is created from the different instruments, a certain melody will form. As long as the team is playing from the same sheet music, the sounds will produce the desired melody. Yet, it only takes one playing from a different sheet to make the sound unrecognizable.
