Negative experiences happen to all of us at one time or another. They may be situational and quick to overcome, or they may be relational where the negative experience may be more difficult to overcome and longer lasting. Our only measure of a negative experience is what we learn from it and how we overcome it. Unfortunately, we often allow negative experiences to create negative thoughts about ourselves (or others try to have us own their negative thought about us) and we shut down. The reality is, when you take time to understand yourself, what your strengths are, what your passions are, and what your core values are, you create a belief about yourself that becomes much stronger than the negative thought.
When your thoughts align to your beliefs, a passion arises that can be unstoppable. Take the time to know yourself and what you stand for. With a solid belief of yourself, the negative experiences and thoughts become meaningless and powerless.
